Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 August 2026
KLICKBOO ("we", "us") operates the website and app at klickboo.com, where artists publish music and listeners stream it and buy downloads. This policy explains exactly what we handle and why. We collect the minimum needed to run the service — there is no advertising network, no visitor profile and no third-party tracker anywhere on the site.
What we collect
- Buyers: the email address you enter at checkout, and a record of which albums and tracks you bought. We use it to give you your downloads back when you return.
- Payments: card details go to Stripe and never reach us. We receive confirmation of the payment, the amount and your email — nothing else.
- Artists: the artist name and email you register with, your account key, and everything you publish — tracks, covers, album details.
- Plays and sales: counted per album so charts like "Most Played" work. A count, not a history — we do not record who played what.
- Visits: a daily total of page views, and how many of them were a browser's first visit that day. No IP address, no device fingerprint, nothing that points back at a person.
Cookies & what your browser stores
We set one cookie, and only on VIP albums: a signed marker recording when your 15-minute preview started, so the preview cannot be restarted by reloading the page. It carries no identity and is not used for anything else.
The rest stays in your own browser's local storage and is never sent to us as a profile:
- Your email — so a returning buyer sees their downloads without logging in again.
- Your artist key — what keeps you signed in to the Artist Studio.
- Your library account — name and token for playlists.
- A "seen today" flag — so the visit counter counts a browser once a day.
- A VIP preview timestamp — the same clock as the cookie, so the page can show it.
Clearing your browser data removes all of it. No advertising cookies are set, because there is no advertising.
Who processes it for us
- Stripe — payments and checkout. Stripe is its own controller for card data under its privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy).
- Cloudflare — hosting, storage and delivery. Album audio, covers, accounts and purchase records live in Cloudflare's storage, and pages are served from its edge network.
Both operate globally, so data may be processed outside the UK and EEA under the transfer safeguards in their own terms. We do not use any other analytics, advertising or tracking provider.
Why we are allowed to hold it
Buyer emails and purchase records: to perform the contract you entered when you bought an album. Artist accounts and uploads: to perform our agreement with the artist. Play, sale and visit counts: our legitimate interest in knowing whether the service works, kept in a form that cannot identify anyone. Payment and accounting records: our legal obligations.
What we never do
- We never sell or rent your personal data.
- We never build an advertising profile of you, and we run no ad network.
- We never share your email with the artists you buy from.
- We send no marketing email you did not ask for.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — your buyer email and purchases, or an artist account and its uploads. Email info@klickboo.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EEA and think we have handled your data badly, you can also complain to your national data protection authority.
How long we keep it
Purchase records stay as long as you may want to re-download, and as long as tax and accounting law requires. Artist uploads stay until the artist deletes them or the account is removed. Play, sale and visit counts are aggregates and are kept indefinitely — they contain nothing personal.
When we take a release down
If a track or an album does not meet this policy — or does not meet a basic standard of quality — we may remove it from the live catalogue. That covers anything published here that mishandles someone's personal data, and it covers a file that is broken, silent or cuts off partway, a missing or unreadable cover, and album details that do not describe what is actually in the release.
It is not a deletion. We tell the artist what the problem is, the release stays in their Artist Studio, and it goes back on sale as soon as they have put it right — no reapplication, no penalty. Anyone who already bought it keeps their download either way. The full terms are in section 4 of the Terms of Service.
Children
KLICKBOO is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes are posted here with a new date at the top.
